Julius Ballo, one of America’s brightest young amateurs, has inked a co-promotional agreement with Overtime Boxing and Top Rank. Ballo, 21, hails from San Diego, California, and boasts an impressive amateur résumé that includes gold medals at the 2023 National Golden Gloves, as well as at the 2021 and 2022 USA National Championships. He will compete in the featherweight division and be managed by the widely respected James Prince.

Ballo is set to make his professional debut on an upcoming OTX card yet to be announced. The Iraqi-American says the partnership leverages Overtime’s unique appeal among younger audiences and Top Rank’s storied tradition. “I represent a new school of fighters looking to revamp the sport,” said Ballo.

This deal marks the first collaboration between Overtime Boxing and Top Rank. “We’re looking to work with fighters who not only know how to fight, but also have the ability to captivate on social media,” said OTX General Manager Brandon Rhodes. Top Rank Chairman Bob Arum agreed, calling Ballo “the entire package” with the potential to become a superstar.
