A noisy homecoming in Nogales set the stage as former two-division champion Oscar Valdez met San Antonio’s Richard “Ricky” Medina in a 10-round super featherweight main event at Domo Binacional in Mexico.
Valdez beat Medina by unanimous decision after 10 rounds, with scores of 97–93, 98–92, and 100–90. The Mexican star controlled the pace behind sharp combinations and steadier pressure, while Medina found pockets for counters but couldn’t shift the momentum. The victory puts Valdez back on track following his defeat to Emanuel Navarrete last December.
