The highly anticipated middleweight clash between undefeated world champion Janibek Alimkhanuly and unbeaten contender Andrei Mikhailovich is set for Friday, at The Star in Sydney, Australia. Alimkhanuly, hailing from Kazakhstan, will defend his IBF middleweight title against New Zealand’s Mikhailovich. Both fighters are looking to preserve their unbeaten records, making this a must-watch bout for boxing fans.
On the undercard, New Zealand’s unbeaten Mea Motu will take on former title challenger Shannon O’Connell from Australia in what promises to be an exciting contest.
Also, Liverpool’s own Nick Ball will defend his WBA featherweight title in a homecoming bout against Southern California’s Ronny Rios in Liverpool, England. Ball captured the title in June with a split-decision victory over Raymond Ford, following a draw against Rey Vargas in March. Currently ranked No. 5 in ESPN’s featherweight rankings, Ball is eager to continue his rise in the division.
Rios, a seasoned fighter, comes into the bout after a knockout victory over Nicolas Polanco in April, looking to reclaim glory after a TKO loss to Murodion Akhmadaliev in 2022.
The co-main event will feature Liverpool’s hard-hitting Andrew Cain, while Cuba’s unbeaten Jadier Herrera will also appear on the undercard.
