Caribe Royale Orlando hosted a major women’s boxing card on Saturday night, headlined by Cherneka Johnson and Dina Thorslund in an undisputed bantamweight title fight. The event also featured unified middleweight championship action, a super flyweight clash, and several unbeaten prospects across the prelims.
In the main event, Dina Thorslund defeated Cherneka Johnson by unanimous decision to become the new undisputed bantamweight champion. Thorslund controlled the fight across all 10 rounds and swept the scorecards by identical scores of 100-90, claiming the IBF, WBA, WBC, and WBO titles. She improved to (25-0, 9 KOs), while Johnson fell to (19-3, 8 KOs).
In the co-main event, Tammara Thibeault captured the unified IBF and WBO middleweight titles with a dominant unanimous decision over Desley Robinson. Thibeault won every round on all three cards, taking the fight 100-90, 100-90, and 100-90 to move to (5-0, 3 KOs).
At super flyweight, Amanda Galle defeated former champion Shurretta Metcalf by unanimous decision, earning scores of 78-74, 80-72, and 80-72. Krystal Rosado also delivered a shutout performance at bantamweight, beating Alondra Yamile Hernandez Mendoza by identical scores of 80-72 on all three cards.
Earlier on the card, Jan Paul Rivera remained unbeaten with a unanimous decision over Ruben Garcia Hernandez, while heavyweight Dainier Pero stopped Aleem Whitfield in the third round. Sa’Rai Brown-El, Angelo Hernandez, and Sebastian Juarez all earned unanimous decision victories.
The opening portion of the show also saw Jadden Addison score a first-round TKO over Dionne Ruvalcaba, continuing his unbeaten start in the professional ranks.
