Teofimo Lopez believes Devin Haney is the fighter who can hand Shakur Stevenson the first defeat of his professional career.

Stevenson remains unbeaten at 25-0 and has won world titles across four divisions, from featherweight to super lightweight. His latest victory came in January, when he dominated Lopez by unanimous decision at Madison Square Garden to win the WBO title at 140lbs.

Although Lopez could not solve Stevenson himself, he has now named Haney as the man he thinks could beat him.

Asked by Daily Mail Sport who would win a potential fight between Stevenson and current WBO welterweight champion Haney, Lopez gave a direct answer.

“I think Devin Haney,” Lopez said.

Haney is also a multi-division world champion. He previously became undisputed at lightweight, later held the WBC super lightweight title, and then won the WBO welterweight belt with a dominant points victory over Brian Norman Jr in November.
