Roy Jones Jr. believes a clash between Tyson Fury and Lennox Lewis in their primes would have been a “great fight,” but ultimately gives the edge to Lewis.

Jones pointed to Lewis’ power as the deciding factor, while acknowledging Fury’s ability to adapt in the ring. Despite Fury’s strengths, Jones said his instinct leans toward Lewis in a theoretical showdown.

Lewis became WBC heavyweight champion in 1992, ending a long drought for British success in the division that dated back to Bob Fitzsimmons in 1897. Since then, the UK has produced multiple heavyweight champions, including Fury and Anthony Joshua.

The division remains active with British contenders, as Daniel Dubois is set to challenge Fabio Wardley for the WBO title, while rising prospect Moses Itauma is viewed as a future force.
