In a clash of undefeated junior welterweights, Mykquan Williams (20-0-2, 9 KOs) demonstrated his prowess by scoring three knockdowns against Luis Feliciano (17-1, 8 KOs), culminating in a sixth-round stoppage at the ProBox TV main event in Plant City, Florida.

Williams, a promising prospect from Hartford, Connecticut, showcased his skill and determination in this high-stakes bout. He started strong with two knockdowns early in the second round, initially sending Feliciano to the canvas with a chopping right hand. Despite Feliciano’s attempts to recover and retaliate, Williams maintained control, effectively targeting his opponent’s body.

Feliciano, previously a rising prospect himself, faced setbacks due to inactivity stemming from a dispute with Golden Boy Promotions. His return to the ring in 2022 saw three wins, but his encounter with Williams marked a challenging comeback, especially after narrowly defeating Clarence Booth in his last fight.

In another bout featuring welterweight knockout artists, Freudis Rojas (13-0, 11 KOs) emerged victorious over Cristian Baez (19-4, 17 KOs) in a match that surprisingly went the full ten-round distance. Despite the fight’s close nature, Rojas won by unanimous decision, with scores of 98-92, 99-91, 99-91. However, the crowd expressed their disagreement with the scoring, reacting with boos, suggesting a much tighter contest.

The event also saw a clash between unbeaten super featherweights, where Jaycob Gomez (9-0-1, 6 KOs) achieved a fifth-round TKO victory over Ezequiel Borrero (6-1, 2 KOs). Gomez demonstrated his strength early on by dropping Borrero in the first round and eventually secured a referee’s stoppage at 1:40 of the fifth round following a relentless barrage of punches. This win further cements Gomez’s position as a promising talent in the super featherweight division.
