London’s iconic Wembley’s OVO Arena was buzzing with excitement as boxing enthusiasts gathered to witness a night of thrilling bouts and boxing stars.
In the main event, the IBF cruiserweight world champion, Jai Opetaia (23-0, 18 KOs), made a statement by successfully defending his title against the British challenger, Jordan Thompson (15-1, 12 KOs). Opetaia's power and precision were evident from the start, and by the fourth round, Thompson was unable to continue, marking a dominant win for the Australian champion.
The co-main event of the evening saw British cruiserweight prospect, Cheavon Clarke (7-0, 5 KOs), in a spirited clash against the Czech Republic’s Vasil Ducar (14-7-2, 10 KOs). Clarke’s power and skill were on full display as he secured the vacant IBF International cruiserweight title with a unanimous decision.
The undercard was packed with talent and showcased some of the best in British boxing. Rhiannon Dixon of Warrington (9-0, 1 KO) clinched the European lightweight title with a well-earned decision victory over Norway’s Katarina Thanderz (16-2, 2 KOs). Dixon’s corner, led by former champion Anthony Crolla, provided invaluable guidance throughout the bout. Ellie Scotney of London (8-0, 0 KOs) successfully defended her IBF World Bantamweight title against a determined Laura Soledad Griffa of Buenos Aires (20-9, 1 KO). Scotney’s skill and strategy ensured she remained the reigning champion. Shannon Ryan of Watford (6-0, 0 KOs) continued her ascent in the super flyweight division with a dominant performance against Romania’s Xenia Jorneac (11-7, 3 KOs). Ryan’s background in taekwondo and kickboxing was evident as she overwhelmed Jorneac with her aggressive style.
