Oleksandr Usyk believes Terence Crawford would have beaten Floyd Mayweather in a hypothetical fight between the two unbeaten greats.
Mayweather retired at 50-0 after winning world titles across five divisions, although fighters such as Jose Luis Castillo and Marcos Maidana pushed him particularly hard.
Usyk, however, named Crawford as the fighter he believes could have ended Mayweather’s unbeaten record.
The Ukrainian went even further, also backing Crawford in fantasy matchups against Sugar Ray Leonard, Pernell Whitaker and Sugar Ray Robinson.
Crawford also retired unbeaten after becoming a five-division world champion. His standout run included becoming undisputed at welterweight with a ninth-round stoppage of Errol Spence Jr. in 2023.
Usyk’s verdict places Crawford above some of boxing’s greatest technicians and suggests he views “Bud” as one of the most complete fighters of any era.
