Ryan Garcia has announced that he’ll face Isaac "Pitbull" Cruz this May in the heart of Times Square, New York. The event will also feature Devin Haney vs. Jose Ramirez, creating a big night for boxing fans. Garcia says he’s wanted this fight for a long time, and it comes at a perfect moment to prepare him for a planned October rematch with Haney in Riyadh.

Cruz, a former WBA light welterweight champion, lost his belt in August to Jose “Rayo” Valenzuela by a close split decision. He’s known for his aggressive style and has faced notable opponents such as Gervonta Davis and Luis Montana Alvarez. Despite having three losses on his record, Cruz remains a dangerous contender with 18 knockouts to his name.

Before meeting Garcia, Cruz is scheduled to fight Angel Fierro on February 1. If he doesn’t win, Garcia’s team may need a late replacement to keep the Times Square date alive. Still, we are eager to watch "KingRy" step back into the ring, and a bout with "Pitbull" Cruz promises action for both casual and hardcore supporters.
