Top Rank has officially announced an exciting boxing lineup for May 6 at the Tokyo Dome, headlined by Naoya “The Monster” Inoue defending his undisputed junior featherweight world title against Luis “Pantera” Nery, the former two-division world champion. This event marks Inoue's first time headlining at the iconic venue, promising to be a historic night in boxing.

Inoue, a force in the boxing world, faces Nery, a challenger coming off a noteworthy winning streak and a memorable performance against Azat Hovhannisyan. With Inoue’s remarkable record and dominance across four divisions, this fight is set to captivate the boxing community.

The Tokyo Dome event will also feature three additional world title defenses: Jason “Mayhem” Moloney defending the WBO bantamweight title, Takuma Inoue, Naoya’s brother, upholding the WBA bantamweight title, and Seigo Yuri Akui in a WBA flyweight title rematch. These bouts contribute to an event that Top Rank chairman Bob Arum believes could stand out as one of the year's biggest in boxing.

Arum expressed his anticipation for the matchup, praising Inoue as the world's best fighter and looking forward to the electric atmosphere of over 50,000 fans. This event not only showcases Inoue’s talent but also revives the Tokyo Dome’s boxing legacy, the venue’s first boxing event since the historic upset of Mike Tyson by James “Buster” Douglas in 1990.
