Rafael Espinoza and Robeisy Ramirez have officially agreed to a rematch for the WBO featherweight title, avoiding a purse bid at the last minute. The bout will serve as the co-main event on the December 7 Top Rank card in Arizona, headlined by the highly anticipated rematch between Emanuel Navarrete and Oscar Valdez.
Their first encounter in December 2023 was an all-out war, with both fighters hitting the canvas. Espinoza shocked the boxing world by defeating the two-time Cuban Olympic gold medalist Ramirez via a narrow majority decision. The Mexican warrior dropped Ramirez in the 12th round to claim his first world title, despite being an +800 underdog. Ramirez had previously floored Espinoza in the fifth round, adding to the drama of their intense battle.

Since that epic night, both fighters have returned to the ring just once. Espinoza, 30, scored a dominant fourth-round TKO over Sergio Chirino in June, showcasing his power by dropping his opponent three times. Meanwhile, Ramirez, also 30, bounced back with a seventh-round TKO victory over Brandon Benitez in March.
