Adam Azim is set to face Ohara Davies in a highly anticipated super-lightweight bout on October 19 at The Copper Box Arena. This matchup between the two British fighters promises to be a thrilling encounter, with both men looking to make a statement in the division.

Davies, a former British and Commonwealth champion, initially denied knowledge of the fight earlier in the week, but it has now been officially announced. He will be looking to rebound from a disappointing first-round defeat to Ismael Barroso in January. Despite the setback, Davies is determined to spoil Azim’s undefeated streak and derail his rising career.

"I’ve known Adam for a long time and respect what he’s done in boxing," Davies said. "But this is where it all changes for him. I’m sorry Adam, this is where it ends."

Azim, the favorite going into the fight, is regarded as one of British boxing’s hottest prospects. He won the European super-lightweight title with a 10th-round stoppage of Frank Petitjean in 2023 and successfully defended the belt earlier this year before vacating it to pursue bigger challenges.

"I respect Ohara and what he’s achieved, but when we step into the ring, he’s just another opponent," Azim said. "I’m ready to make a statement and show everyone I’m prepared for the biggest names in the division."
