Unbeaten heavyweight Nelson Hysa has publicly called for a fight with WBC champion Agit Kabayel after extending his knockout streak with another stoppage victory.
Hysa stopped Thomas Narmo in the second round on the Moses Itauma vs. Filip Hrgovic undercard before confronting Kabayel at ringside.
“Are you afraid of me? Why you don’t fight me?” Hysa told Kabayel. “I come to fight you in your house, in Germany. Wherever you want. Don’t be afraid. I will knock you out.”
Kabayel was elevated from interim to full WBC heavyweight champion in June after Oleksandr Usyk vacated his belts. The 33-year-old had previously scored stoppage wins over Zhilei Zhang, Frank Sanchez, Arslanbek Makhmudov and Damian Knyba.
No date or opponent has yet been announced for Kabayel’s first defense as full champion, leaving Hysa pushing to secure the opportunity, though the 41-year-old Albanian had previously been linked with a possible Tyson Fury fight.
