Tension buzzed through the crowd as WBC interim light heavyweight champion David Benavidez clashed with WBA ‘regular’ champ David Morrell, while the long-awaited Stephen Fulton vs. Brandon Figueroa rematch promised a fiery co-feature.
In the main event, David Benavidez emerged victorious by unanimous decision after a grueling 12-round battle with a game David Morrell. The fight delivered its share of controversy, with one particularly wide 118-108 scorecard. Morrell even dropped Benavidez in the 11th round with a razor-sharp right hand, but a point deduction for hitting after the bell proved critical, especially in such a closely contested duel.

The co-feature featured a tactical yet thrilling rematch between Stephen Fulton and Brandon Figueroa. Fulton’s disciplined approach, marked by precise punching and sharp defense, stifled Figueroa’s pressure. Although Figueroa rallied in the closing stages, he lacked the power to turn the tide, resulting in a one-sided points victory for Fulton. The triumph signaled a successful comeback for Fulton, who had once suffered a crushing defeat against Naoya Inoue in 2023.

On the undercard, Isaac "Pitbull" Cruz outworked Angel Fierro over ten spirited rounds, earning a unanimous decision. Meanwhile, junior middleweight contender Jesus Ramos Jr. demolished former champion Jeison "Banana" Rosario in eight rounds of one-way traffic. While Fierro showed heart and some clever boxing late, it wasn’t enough to overcome Cruz’s aggression. Ramos, on the other hand, simply outclassed Rosario, showing pinpoint accuracy and power until the referee stepped in to halt the punishment.

In the closing bouts, Mirco Cuello staged a dramatic late turnaround with a 10th-round knockout of Christian Olivo, overcoming a knockdown earlier in the fight. Cuban middleweight Yoenli Hernandez overwhelmed Angel Ruiz Astorga with a barrage of uppercuts, stopping him in the fifth, and lightweight prospect Curmel Moton rebounded from an early scare to halt Frank Zaldivar in round three.
