T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas hosted a thrilling main event featuring Gervonta “Tank” Davis (29-0, 27 KOs) and Ryan Garcia (23-1, 19 KOs).
Davis showcased his dominance by knocking Garcia down twice during the fight, first in round two and again in round seven. A well-placed body shot in the seventh round left Garcia unable to get back on his feet, and with a bleeding nose and a clear lack of desire to continue, the referee called the fight at 1:44 of round seven.
In the undercard, WBA regular super middleweight champion David Morrell Jr. (9-0, 8 KOs) demonstrated his prowess by defeating 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Yamaguchi Falcao (24-2-1, 10 KOs) in the first round of their scheduled twelve-round bout. Morrell Jr. wasted no time, knocking Falcao down after trapping him against the ropes and then finishing him off with a series of powerful shots that led to the referee stopping the fight at 2:22 of round one.
Also on the card, Gabe Rosado (26-17-1, 15 KOs) suffered a one-sided unanimous decision loss against Bektemir Melikuziev (12-1, 9 KOs) in their ten-round rematch. Despite a timid start from Melikuziev, he eventually unleashed his powerful combinations against Rosado, who appeared unable to respond effectively. Middleweight prospect Elijah Garcia (15-0, 12 KOs) had a tougher time than expected, but secured a ten-round unanimous decision win over Kevin Salgado (15-2-1, 10 KOs). In other action, Fiodor Czerkaszyn (22-0, 14 KOs) stopped Elias Espadas (22-6, 15 KOs) in the ninth round, and junior middleweight Vito “White Magic” Mielnicki Jr. (15-1, 10 KOs) stopped Jose Charles (20-4-1, 12 KOs) in the fourth round.
