Lee Reeves remains in an induced coma almost two weeks after suffering a serious knockout defeat to Gary Cully at Dublin’s 3Arena.
The 31-year-old is receiving intensive care at Beaumont Hospital after undergoing surgery following the August 1 fight. His family has confirmed that he recently underwent another procedure, with no significant change in his condition reported.
Reeves’ sister Shannon said visits are currently limited to immediate family because the latest procedure increased the risk of infection.
A fundraiser created to support Reeves and his family has now raised more than €104,000. Queensberry Promotions, which promoted the event, contributed €23,327 and is currently listed as the largest donor.
Reeves remains in intensive care as his family and the boxing community continue to wait for an improvement in his condition.
