The Madison Square Garden Theater in New York City witnessed an electrifying night of boxing, headlined by unbeaten super welterweight “King” Callum Walsh (9-0, 7 KOs), squared off with Ismael “The Beast” Villarreal (13-2, 9 KOs).
All in all, Walsh’s power was on display as he staggered Villarreal in the fourth round, although Villarreal managed a knockdown in the tenth. The judges’ scores of 97-92, 97-92, and 96-93 reflected Walsh's dominance.
In the lightweight division, “Sugar” Cain Sandoval (11-0, 11 KOs) continued his knockout streak, overpowering Wesley “El Bongocero” Ferrer (17-2-1, 8 KOs) in a fifth-round TKO. Sandoval established his authority early, dropping Ferrer in the first round and maintaining the pressure until the stoppage at 1:34 in the fifth. The light heavyweight bout saw Umar Dzambekov (8-0, 5 KOs) outclass Frederic “The French Revolution” Julan (13-3, 10 KOs) over eight rounds, earning a unanimous decision with scores of 79-73, 78-74, and 78-74. Gor Yeritsyan (17-0, 14 KOs) in the welterweight class showcased his strength against Luis Alberto “Lucho” Veron (20-8-2, 9 KOs). Despite dropping Veron in the third round, Yeritsyan had to settle for a unanimous decision victory after eight rounds, with scores of 80-71, 79-72, and 78-73.
In another super welterweight bout, Brian Ceballo (16-1, 8 KOs) delivered a stunning body shot knockout against Kenneth McNeil (13-5, 10 KOs) in the fourth round, concluding the bout at 2:17. The evening also featured Omar Trinidad (14-0-1, 10 KOs) in the featherweight division, who impressively dispatched Andrew Bentley (5-8, 1 KO) in the first round with two knockdowns, ending the fight at 2:27. Lastly, super featherweight Feargal McCrory (15-0, 7 KOs) narrowly defeated Nikolai Buzolin (9-7-1, 5 KOs) in a close six-round bout, with all judges scoring it 58-56 in McCrory’s favor. The event showcased a range of undefeated talents, each making their mark in a memorable night of boxing.
