Keyshawn Davis claims he’ll receive a "20%" boost to his fight purse following a shove from WBO lightweight champion Denys Berinchyk during their face-off. Davis says he’ll use the extra money to buy another rental property - bumping his post-fight real estate haul from two houses to three if he’s to be believed. While it’s unclear if Berinchyk will actually be penalized 20% of his purse, the rumor has sparked a flurry of conversation.

Tensions between Davis and Berinchyk boiled over this week when Davis accused Berinchyk - without proof - of sending a box of bananas and watermelons to his hotel room. Davis repeatedly called the Ukrainian a "racist" at the final press conference. He also later said he was prepared to apologize, but after Berinchyk pushed him on stage, he doubled down, threatening to "break his jaw" and predicting a "no mas" end to the fight.
The 24-year-old Davis also took aim at Teofimo Lopez, calling him “racist” in response to a social media post. Despite claiming he’ll never fight Lopez, many doubt he would turn down a high-profile payday in a star-studded lightweight division. As for Berinchyk, a loss of 20% of his purse - and the verbal abuse he’s endured - could sting if he fails to hold onto his WBO belt.
