Keyshawn Davis has shifted his attention to a new opponent after negotiations for a fight with Devin Haney failed to gain momentum.

The former WBO lightweight champion had been pushing for a clash with the reigning WBO welterweight titleholder following his return to the ring last month. Davis stopped Jamaine Ortiz in the final round of their super-lightweight bout, leaving just 13 seconds on the clock, and immediately called out Haney in his post-fight interview. Haney publicly welcomed the matchup at the time, with the bout viewed as a potential stepping stone toward a future showdown with Shakur Stevenson.

Nearly a month later, however, no progress has been made, and Haney is now being linked to a rematch with Ryan Garcia. Davis responded by taking to X to issue a new challenge. “Since ‘Debo’ [Haney] scary & never stood on his word, [Lamont Roach Jr.] you trying to fight me?” he wrote, calling out the former WBA super-featherweight champion.

Davis’ career has seen recent highs and setbacks. He knocked out Denys Berinchyk to win the WBO lightweight title a year ago but was stripped of the belt last June after missing weight ahead of a planned defense against Edwin De Los Santos.
