Boxing enthusiasts gathered in anticipation in La Paz, Baja California, Mexico, as Kenia Enriquez and Ibeth Zamora, both former titlists, prepared to face off.

All in all, Kenia Enriquez (27-1, 11 KOs) emerged as the mandatory challenger for the WBC crown, following her interim flyweight title win over Ibeth Zamora (33-8, 13 KOs). The former titlists clashed fiercely, with Enriquez dominating the scorecards at 100-90, 99-91, and 99-91. Throughout the bout, Enriquez's strategy was evident as she kept Zamora, a former two-division titlist, at bay with her jab and powerful left hooks. Despite Zamora’s attempts to turn the tide, Enriquez's consistent performance ensured her victory.

Zamora’s performance showed her resilience, as she constantly moved forward, absorbing body shots and headshots from Enriquez. However, Enriquez’s strategy and power were too much for Zamora, whose right eye was nearly swollen shut by the end of the bout. This loss marked Zamora’s second in her last three starts, following her title loss to Marlen Esparza in 2021.

In the co-main event, Isaac Lucero (14-0, 10 KOs) showcased his prowess against Leonel Rodriguez (11-4-1, 5 KOs). Lucero displayed an aggressive stance from the start, overpowering Rodriguez throughout the fight. A powerful left hook to the body in the fifth round sent Rodriguez to the canvas, and Lucero’s relentless assault ensured his victory, marking his third consecutive stoppage win.
