Famous YouTuber and boxer Jake Paul took it seriously to call out Canelo Alvarez and even has been in touch with the Mexican’s lawyers.

The social media star had six professional boxing fights, having defeated the former UFC stars, Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva. He remains undefeated and has frequently expressed his desire to become a world champion and continue his undefeated streak in the ring.

However, as with many Paul fights, there would be a weight disparity in his favor, although the Mexican superstar has recently jumped up to 175lb, which narrows the gap slightly. The American believes he can compete with Canelo in the near future, partly because they have sparred with the same people.

"We have talked to his lawyer and I think he is getting to a place where he sees how serious how I am," Paul told in an interview with Anthony Pompliano. "I think at first everyone thought this was a joke and my mouth was bigger than my actions but now they are matching.

"Especially if a fight is a year from now or two years from now. I am sparring with people that were in both of their training camps for the trilogy. I am sparring Golovkin's sparring partners, I am sparring Canelo's partners. [Ron] Ellis, all of these guys and I are sparring people from both of their camps. They came out to my camps.”
