Liverpool hosted a packed night of boxing at the M&S Bank Arena, with a world title headliner supported by several decisive bouts on the main card.
In the main event, Nick Ball was defending his WBA featherweight title against Brandon Figueroa in a fight that remained tense deep into the championship rounds. The tempo stayed high throughout, with both fighters exchanging at close range and neither willing to give ground. The breakthrough came late, when Figueroa dropped Ball twice in the twelfth round, forcing the referee to stop the contest just 32 seconds into the frame.

In the co-feature, Jack Turner stayed unbeaten with a third-round retirement victory over Juan Carlos Martinez Urbina at super flyweight. Turner set the tone early by scoring a knockdown in the opening round and continued to press behind sharp combinations. Urbina was deducted a point for holding in the third, and his corner elected not to let him continue at the end of the round.

Earlier on the card, Andrew Cain earned a dramatic ninth-round stoppage against Alejandro Jair Gonzalez in a WBC bantamweight title eliminator. Cain endured a difficult eighth round, suffering two knockdowns from body shots, but responded immediately in the ninth by dropping Gonzalez twice. The referee stepped in after the second knockdown, sealing the win for Cain.
At super bantamweight, Hassan Ishaq continued his perfect start as a professional by stopping Leonardo Baez in the third round. Ishaq sent Baez to the canvas in both the second and third rounds, steadily increasing the pressure before the referee halted the bout at 1:39 of round three.
Opening the main card, Brad Strand secured a third-round stoppage over Ruben Lezama Gonzalez in front of his home crowd. Strand controlled the exchanges and wore Gonzalez down with sustained offense, prompting Gonzalez’s corner to throw in the towel at 1:24 of the third round.
