Queensberry Promotions and Matchroom Boxing could be heading for another head-to-head team event later this year, with October or November being targeted for a UK-based follow-up to the original 5x5 show.

Eddie Hearn has even suggested the format could expand from 5x5 to 7x7, with seven Matchroom fighters facing seven from Queensberry. The first edition in Saudi Arabia ended in a clean sweep for Frank Warren’s side, with Queensberry winning all five fights.

“We got spanked 5-0,” Hearn said. “Run it back, give us another chance. And this will be even bigger and have a more domestic slant on it for the UK.”

Several fights have already been mentioned in early discussions, including Callum Smith vs. Joshua Buatsi 2, after Smith won their Fight of the Year contender in January 2025. Other possible matchups include Giorgio Visioli vs. Louie O’Doherty for the British lightweight title, Denzel Bentley vs. George Liddard at middleweight, and Johnny Fisher vs. Dillian Whyte at heavyweight.

The original 5x5 saw Queensberry dominate, with Nick Ball beating Raymond Ford, Zhilei Zhang stopping Deontay Wilder, Daniel Dubois defeating Filip Hrgovic, Willy Hutchinson outpointing Craig Richards, and Hamzah Sheeraz stopping Ammo Williams. Now Hearn wants another shot - this time on home soil and possibly with an even bigger lineup.
