Gervonta Davis is eyeing either November 23 or December 14 for his next fight, according to reports. If Davis does return to the ring this year, these two dates are under consideration. His opponent is still undetermined, though names like Edwin De Los Santos and Jose “Rayo” Valenzuela have surfaced as possibilities.

There’s speculation that if Davis fights on December 14, PBC could pair him on the same card as light heavyweight David Benavidez. This potential doubleheader would likely be sold on pay-per-view, aiming to boost buys by featuring both stars, especially if either faces a lesser-known opponent. Such a strategy was successfully employed earlier this year when Davis and Benavidez co-headlined a card in June, which drew 350,000 PPV buys despite limited fan demand for the Davis vs. Frank Martin fight.

As Davis prepares for a possible high-stakes fight against Shakur Stevenson in 2025, he may want to face an opponent with a similar style to Shakur's to better prepare for that showdown. Jose Valenzuela, despite being bigger and stronger than Stevenson, could offer a challenge with a slick, Shakur-esque movement that would help Davis sharpen his skills ahead of a bout.
