After multiple postponements, O'Shaquie Foster and Stephen Fulton are finally set to meet. Their 12-round clash for Foster’s WBC 130lbs title will take place on December 6 at the Frost Bank Arena in San Antonio, as part of a Premier Boxing Champions Prime Video Pay-Per-View card headlined by Isaac Cruz vs. Lamont Roach Jr. for the interim WBC 140lbs title.
The matchup has faced a turbulent road to completion. Initially planned for August 16 as part of a Gervonta Davis–Lamont Roach rematch card, the event was canceled after Davis pulled out. It was later rescheduled as the co-feature for the October 25 Sebastian Fundora-Keith Thurman show, which also fell through due to Fundora’s injury. Now, with a new date confirmed, Foster gets a long-awaited home-state defense in Texas.
Foster will enter the ring for the first time in over a year, having regained his WBC title from Robson Conceição last November. The 30-year-old Houston native previously lost the belt to Conceição in a controversial split decision but rebounded decisively in their rematch, proving his class at 130lbs.
Philadelphia’s Fulton is moving up in search of a world title in a third weight division. The former unified 122lbs champion rebounded strongly from his 2023 loss to Naoya Inoue, winning back-to-back fights at featherweight, including a commanding decision victory over Brandon Figueroa to claim the WBC 126lbs crown in February.
