Houston hosted a strong night of boxing as hometown champion O’Shaquie Foster was defending his WBC super featherweight title against former featherweight champion Raymond Ford.

In the headliner, Foster retained his title with a majority decision victory over Ford, improving to 25-3 (12 KOs). The judges scored the bout 114-114, 118-110, and 116-112 after a competitive fight that saw both men enjoy success at different stages. Foster started aggressively and even sent Ford through the ropes late in the opening round during an exchange. Ford responded well in the early rounds, landing sharp counters and body shots while making Foster pay whenever he overcommitted.

As the fight progressed, Foster gradually took control through activity, pressure, and combination punching. He repeatedly walked Ford onto right hands and controlled much of the middle rounds with his ring generalship and work rate. Ford rallied late and had success during several exchanges down the stretch, but Foster stayed composed enough to secure the decision in front of his hometown crowd.

The undercard featured several notable performances. Javon Woodward improved to 18-2 (16 KOs) with an eighth-round stoppage of veteran Miguel Flores after scoring multiple knockdowns in a hard-fought featherweight contest. Lightweight prospect Charlie Sheehy stayed unbeaten at 13-0 (8 KOs), breaking down Nike Theran before stopping him with a ninth-round knockout.

Olympic bronze medalist Omari Jones continued his steady rise with an eight-round unanimous decision over Diego Osuna, while lightweight prospect Zaquin Moses moved to 7-0 with a six-round decision against Travis Crawford.

Earlier on the card, Julian Montalvo, Frank Espinoza, and Jahyden Britton all recorded stoppage victories to remain unbeaten.
