Eddie Hearn has denied Tyson Fury’s claim that his long-awaited fight with Anthony Joshua is close to being officially announced.

Fury recently suggested confirmation was “imminent,” while Netflix aired a promotional clip saying the fight was coming soon. Hearn insists there is still no agreement over proposed changes to the deal.

*“There’s absolutely nothing imminent at all regarding an announcement,” *Hearn said. “We’ve signed for the fight, they want to change the contract that we signed.”

According to Hearn, the original agreement called for the fight to take place in the UK, but Netflix is pushing for New York. Fury has reportedly agreed to fight in the United States, while Joshua’s side has not yet approved the switch.

Hearn said discussions are continuing over what a revised agreement would look like and believes the fight could still happen in America if the necessary terms are met.

For now, however, he stressed that there is “absolutely no agreement” to change the existing contract.
