Devin Haney’s next fight and new promotional agreement are reportedly complete, with official announcements expected soon.
Haney became a three-division world champion by defeating Brian Norman Jr. for the WBO welterweight title last November. Since then, he has been linked with Shakur Stevenson and mandatory challenger Keyshawn Davis.
Bill Haney said his son’s new deal has been agreed in principle for some time, but suggested the opponent announcement will come first.
“Devin’s deal is done,” Bill said. “The announcement is imminent.”
Reports indicate that Haney is preparing to sign a landmark direct agreement with DAZN, following a similar move by Teofimo Lopez.
Haney is also expected to proceed with his mandatory defense against Davis, with WBO purse bids scheduled for July 27.
