Derek Chisora believes Deontay Wilder would remain dangerous against Oleksandr Usyk if their proposed heavyweight fight is finalized.

Usyk and Wilder are reportedly in talks to meet under the Zuffa Boxing banner, with the unbeaten Ukrainian considering one final fight in the United States before retirement.

Chisora has shared the ring with both men. He lost a unanimous decision to Usyk in 2020 and was dropped twice before losing a split decision to Wilder in April.

Despite that defeat, Chisora said Wilder’s power would give him a chance against Usyk, particularly in the early rounds.

“He’ll do well,” Chisora said. “Wilder’s got power for the first three rounds, then he fades, but he’s always got that power.”

Usyk recently vacated the WBC, IBF and WBA heavyweight titles after stopping Rico Verhoeven in the 11th round. A fight with Wilder would now give him the chance to face the last major heavyweight champion from his era that he has not yet beaten.
