In what promises to be a sizzling showdown, Lindolfo Delgado and Jair Valtierra are prepared to co-headline Emanuel Navarrete’s WBO junior lightweight title defense against Oscar Valdez. This boxing spectacle will take place on Saturday, August 12, at Desert Diamond Arena, Glendale, Arizona live on ESPN+.

The original co-main event saw an unforeseen twist when lightweight contender Raymond Muratalla suffered an injury during training, leading to his withdrawal from a slated bout against the unbeaten Diego Torres. Consequently, the Delgado-Valtierra fight was elevated to the co-feature slot.

Lindolfo Delgado, gained recognition for representing Mexico at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Notably, Delgado made his Top Rank debut in June 2021, and his performance against Omar Aguilar last August earned accolades as a potential 2022 Fight of the Year. On the other hand, Jair Valtierra is hungry for redemption following a no contest ruling in his last bout against Nestor Bravo.

Kicking off the telecast will be a heavyweight clash between U.S. Olympic silver medalist Richard Torrez Jr and Willie Jake Jr.
