Edwin De Los Santos and Frank Martin are reportedly negotiating a bout for March 29, possibly taking place on the undercard of the Sebastian Fundora vs. Errol Spence event at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. According to reports by Fernando Sabatini, the fight could happen at either lightweight (135 lbs) or super lightweight (140 lbs).
Both boxers enter this matchup aiming to rebound from recent setbacks. De Los Santos lost a unanimous decision to Shakur Stevenson in November 2023 for the vacant WBC 135-pound title in a fight panned by many fans for its clinching and lack of action. Meanwhile, Martin is coming off an eighth-round KO defeat to Gervonta "Tank" Davis in June 2024, where he was trailing on all three judges' scorecards before the stoppage.
