Tim Tszyu is set to return in April against Joey Spencer after a challenging 2024, and this fight is seen as a key step toward a potential showdown with Keith “One Time” Thurman later this year. Thurman, making his own comeback against Brock Jarvis on March 12 in Sydney, adds even more intrigue to the path ahead.

According to @dailytelegraph, Tszyu will face Spencer in April. While Spencer might look like a straightforward opponent on paper, Tszyu’s recent outings were also embarrassing. His recent performance against Bakhram Murtazalev - where he was dropped four times before a third-round knockout - and a split decision loss to Sebastian Fundora have left many wondering if his durability is still at the top level.
Spencer, a Michigan native, hasn’t been tested against high-level competition and was notably overmatched in his bout with Jesus Ramos back in March 2023. This matchup should be a solid chance for Tszyu to bounce back, but his performance will be closely watched to see if he can overcome his recent setbacks.
A strong performance could pave the way for a title shot and set the stage for that long-awaited clash with Thurman. What do you think - will Tszyu show us he still has the power to make a successful comeback?
