Golden Boy Promotions returned to Oceanside, California, with unified minimumweight champion Oscar Collazo headlining a card that featured several unbeaten prospects and rising contenders.
In the main event, Oscar Collazo made quick work of late replacement Neider Valdez Aguilar, scoring a second-round stoppage. After a cautious opening round, Collazo took control with body punching, dropping Valdez twice in the second round. Following the second knockdown, Valdez’s corner stopped the fight at 2:35 of round two. The victory improved Collazo’s record to 15-0 with 12 knockouts.
The co-main event saw Yair Gallardo remain unbeaten with a unanimous decision victory over Buneet Bisla to claim the vacant WBO NABO light heavyweight title. The fight featured frequent clinching and rough tactics, but Gallardo gradually took over, landing the cleaner and more effective punches to earn scores of 98-91, 97-92, and 96-93.
Olympian Ruslan Abdullaev continued his impressive start in the professional ranks, stopping Orestes Velazquez in the fifth round. Abdullaev scored an early knockdown and steadily broke his opponent down before ending the fight with a body shot at 1:30 of round five.
Heavyweight prospect Joshua Edwards maintained his knockout streak with a second-round stoppage of Garreth Payton. Edwards controlled the opening round before finishing the fight with a left hook that dropped Payton for the count just over a minute into round two.
Elsewhere on the card, Cayden Griffiths stopped Edgar Ayala Crisosto in the third round after a sustained body attack, while Daniel Garcia needed only one round to knock out Christopher Rodriguez, extending his unbeaten record to 14-0 with 11 knockouts.
