Chris Eubank Jr. could face Michael Zerafa in a potential stadium event in Australia, with discussions now confirmed by his manager Elliot “Napper” Amoakoh.
Amoakoh stated that negotiations are ongoing and serious, with strong interest from Eubank’s side.
“These talks are real on fight with Michael Zerafa and we are very interested in fighting in Australia in a stadium event. We love the UK vs Aussie rivalry and we see that in Eubank vs Zerafa for the fans of Australia to get behind.”
The matchup had previously been close to materializing in 2024, but plans fell through. Amoakoh confirmed talks have now resumed with a bigger target in mind.
“The fight with Michael Zerafa nearly happened in 2024 on Riyadh show, but we are happy the talks have started again for it to be even bigger in 2026.”
Eubank’s team also pointed to recent major events in Australia as a benchmark for the fight’s scale.
“Chris Eubank is well aware of the big stadium shows that has happened in Australia with Kambosos vs Haney, Pacquiao vs Horn and believes himself vs Zerafa can be at that magnitude as well.”
Zerafa’s ranking position has added further incentive to finalize the bout.
“Zerafa being ranked high inside the top ten in two sanctioning organisations at middleweight being the WBO and WBA is a big interest for us in getting this fight done.”
