Promoter Eddie Hearn has gone off the rails after Chris Eubank Jr. hit Conor Benn with an egg during a press conference scuffle. Hearn insists he initially feared that Eubank Jr. had thrown a glass, claiming he felt "shattered everywhere," and he rushed toward Eubank with the intention of confronting him.
In the chaos, Hearn appeared to shove rival promoter Ben Shalom, something he says was just a reflex while trying to reach Eubank Jr. Although Shalom denies knowing anything about the planned egg-throw, Hearn insists it was "premeditated," pointing to Eubank Jr.'s arrival with the egg already in hand. Conor Benn and his father, Nigel, believe Eubank Jr.'s entire team was involved.

Benn’s promoter remains livid, labeling the act a "b**** move" and calling for added security measures at the next press event. While the scuffle was contained quickly, the bad blood lingers as Hearn blames Eubank Jr. for orchestrating the bizarre stunt that has overshadowed more pressing matters, like the actual fight.
