In a surprising turn of events, both Jermall and Jermell Charlo are set to square off with Canelo Alvarez. Rumors swirled that Jermall Charlo was next in line to face the Mexican boxing superstar, but a curveball was thrown when Alvarez shared a fight picture with Jermell Charlo, leaving fans and pundits speculating about this unexpected matchup.
However, the unusual sequence doesn’t seem to have rattled Jermall Charlo, who has expressed support for his twin brother’s opportunity. In a recent Instagram Live session, he stated, “I gave the fight to my brother and I’m a still fight Canelo.”
Under the terms of Alvarez’s three-fight deal with Premier Boxing Champions, he will still have two fights remaining after his bout with Jermell Charlo. Names such as David Benavidez, David Morrell, and even Errol Spence Jr. have been floated as potential opponents. However, according to Jermall Charlo, regardless of who calls Alvarez out, he's next in line. He affirmed, “I got a contract signed with Canelo. After he fights my brother he has to fight me so we gonna triple team that b!tch.” The boxing world now eagerly anticipates this unique trifecta of fights.
