Undisputed heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk was detained at Krakow Airport in Poland. The news was first reported by Ukrainian athlete and politician Zhan Beleniuk on his Telegram channel.
"Oleksandr Usyk has been arrested at Krakow Airport. The circumstances are currently being clarified," Beleniuk stated.
Details surrounding Usyk's detention remain unclear at this time. In a video circulating online, the boxing star can be seen in handcuffs, escorted by security personnel into a private room within the airport. The footage shows Usyk calmly walking alongside the officers, though the reason for the arrest has not yet been made public.
