Billy Joe Saunders has made a bold claim about Moses Itauma, describing the unbeaten 21-year-old as the best heavyweight he has seen since Muhammad Ali.

“People might think I’m crazy … I think he’s the best I’ve seen since Muhammad Ali,” Saunders said.

The former two-weight world champion highlighted Itauma’s ability to fight on both the front and back foot, along with his speed and combination punching.

“He’s the only heavyweight I know that can lean off, throw a lead uppercut and finish with two or three shots in a split second,” Saunders added.

Itauma will face the biggest test of his career on August 29 when he takes on Filip Hrgovic for the vacant IBF heavyweight title.
