The highly anticipated match between Erik Bazinyan, ranked #3 by the WBC, WBA, and WBO, and Shakeel Phinn for the NABF and WBA International super middleweight titles, initially set for April 11, has faced a delay.

Due to Erik Bazinyan's health issues, specifically sinusitis, Eye of the Tiger Management (EOTTM) has rescheduled the event to May 2, at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal.

EOTTM, prioritizing the health and safety of its boxers, chose to postpone the fight after closely monitoring Bazinyan’s condition. Despite hopes that antibiotics would allow for a quick recovery, Bazinyan remained unwell, leading to the decision to delay. Antonin Décarie, EOTTM’s general manager, expressed regret over the situation but also relief that the fight could be rearranged soon, maintaining fans’ excitement.

Ticket holders for the original date have been assured that their tickets will remain valid for the new date. For those who cannot attend the rescheduled bout, EOTTM and Ticketmaster are providing a refund option until April 19.
