Andy Ruiz Jr.’s return against Damian Knyba averaged 678,000 viewers and peaked at 695,000 on TNT, according to figures published by EverythingBoxing’s Darshan Desai.

The audience grew through the card, with Vito Mielnicki Jr.’s decision win over Austin Williams averaging 616,000 viewers in the co-main event.

Ruiz-Knyba also surpassed the 638,000 average generated by Abdullah Mason vs. Albert Bell on TNT’s July 4 event, despite airing on a Friday.

Knyba went on to drop Ruiz in the seventh round and win by unanimous decision, with scores of 117-110 and 114-113 twice.

The result gave Knyba the biggest win of his career, while the ratings showed that Ruiz still carries significant name recognition with boxing viewers despite his long layoff.
