A trio of Mexico vs. Mexico matchups has been added to the May 2 card in Las Vegas, headlined by Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez defending his WBA and WBO cruiserweight titles against David Benavidez at T-Mobile Arena.
In the co-main event, WBA super middleweight champion Armando Resendiz (16-2, 11 KOs) will defend his title against Jaime Munguia (45-2, 35 KOs), who steps in for Jermall Charlo following his withdrawal. Resendiz earned his title with a split decision victory over Caleb Plant last May, while Munguia enters after avenging his loss to Bruno Surace with a unanimous decision win.
The undercard will feature a 10-round junior welterweight bout between Oscar Duarte (30-2-1, 23 KOs) and Angel Fierro (23-4-2, 18 KOs), as well as a 10-round junior middleweight clash between Isaac Lucero (18-0, 14 KOs) and Alan Sandoval (30-0-1, 19 KOs). At least one additional pay-per-view bout is expected to be announced.
Duarte returns after a canceled February title opportunity against IBF champion Richardson Hitchins and most recently scored a majority decision win over Kenneth Sims Jr. Fierro, meanwhile, looks to rebound from a difficult 2025 that included a weight-related withdrawal and a disqualification loss.
