Two more interesting events occurred yesterday, in which light heavyweight Daniel Blenda Dos Santos (21-1, 10 KOs) faced off against local favorite Tom Dzemski (20-2, 11 KOs) for the vacant EBU EU title and Robeisy Ramirez (12-1, 7 KOs) squared off with former 122-lb champion Isaac Dogboe (24-3, 15 KOs) for the vacant WBO featherweight title.
In the first event, in a captivating light heavyweight bout, Daniel Blenda Dos Santos secured a twelve-round majority decision victory against local contender Tom Dzemski for the vacant EBU EU title. The showdown took place at Kraftverkehr in Chemnitz, Germany, with scores of 114-114, 117-111, and 117-111 in favor of Dos Santos.
Also on the card, in the cruiserweight division, Roman Fress (17-1, 10 KOs) triumphed over Roman Gorst (8-3, 7 KOs) with a second-round knockout during a clash for the vacant German domestic belt and ex-light heavyweight world title contender Adam Deines (22-2-1, 13 KOs), who currently holds the WBO No.10 position, overcame Dmytro Fedas (8-3-2, 5 KOs) in a three-round TKO victory.
In the second one, Robeisy Ramirez emerged victorious at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma, claiming the vacant WBO featherweight title with an impressive 12-round unanimous decision over Isaac Dogboe.
Dogboe performed well in the initial rounds due to Robeisy’s slow start, but from the third round onward, the fight was heavily skewed in Ramirez's favor. Dogboe struggled to cope with the superior boxing skills of the two-time Olympic gold medalist from Cuba, as Robeisy landed precise and powerful shots that left Dogboe without a viable response.
