Biography

Ángel Daniel Fierro Barrera (born on 7th of August, 1993) is a Mexican professional boxer competing in the super lightweight division. Known by the nickname “Tashiro,” Fierro is an aggressive orthodox fighter with strong knockout power, reflected in his record of 23 wins (18 by KO), 4 losses and 2 draws. Standing 5 ft 7 in (170 cm) with a 70 in reach, he began his professional career in October 2015 and built his reputation fighting primarily in Mexico before expanding onto larger stages in the United States.

Fierro gained wider recognition in 2021 with a breakout victory over former world champion Alberto Machado, stopping him by knockout in the sixth round despite being knocked down earlier in the fight. He followed this with consistent performances, including a win over Cristian Bielma and a competitive majority draw against veteran Juan Carlos Burgos in 2022. Later that year, he secured the WBO NABO lightweight title with a stoppage win over Jeremy Cuevas, and successfully defended it against Eduardo Estela in March 2023 before edging Brayan Zamarripa by split decision in September.

In 2024, Fierro stepped up in competition but faced setbacks, losing a unanimous decision to Alfredo Santiago in a bout for the WBO NABO super lightweight title. He returned with a stoppage victory over Eleazar Valenzuela, but his momentum stalled again in 2025 with a decision loss to Isaac Cruz on a major Las Vegas card. Later that year, he suffered a disqualification defeat against Abraham Cordero after an illegal action in the third round.

Despite recent losses, Fierro remains a dangerous contender due to his high knockout ratio and fan-friendly style.
