Biography

Albert Bell is an American professional boxer competing in the lightweight and super featherweight divisions. Nicknamed “Prince,” Bell was born in Toledo, Ohio, and stands 6 ft 0 in (183 cm) with a 73-inch reach, fighting from an orthodox stance.

Bell steadily climbed the rankings during the early years of his career, compiling an unbeaten record through victories over opponents such as Andy Vences, Mark Bernaldez, Frank De Alba, and Manuel Rey Rojas. In 2019, he captured the WBC Continental Americas super featherweight title with a unanimous decision win over Vences, before continuing his rise with consistent victories against increasingly experienced opposition. He later added the NABO super featherweight title in 2022, defeating Nicolas Polanco after previously overcoming Daulis Prescott and Martin Diaz.

Bell enjoyed a breakout period between 2023 and 2024, defending his position as one of the world's leading super featherweight contenders. He retained his NABO title with a dominant decision victory over William Encarnación, stopped Presco Carcosia, and scored impressive knockout victories over former world title challenger Jayson Vélez and former WBA bantamweight world champion Jonatan Romero, both inside the opening two rounds. These performances elevated Bell to the No. 1 ranking with the WBO at 130 pounds.

Despite holding the WBO's top ranking from August 2023 to August 2024, Bell was never granted a world title opportunity. His request to face Archie Sharp for an interim championship was denied, and he was later bypassed in favor of other contenders despite remaining undefeated. Bell subsequently moved up to the lightweight division, where he continued his winning ways in 2025, positioning himself for another run toward world title contention.
